It’s that time of year again! The City of Tulsa has been allocated funds for our 2010 Certified Local Government program. These funds are intended to foster development of our local historic preservation program. CLG grant funds generally can be used for architectural surveys, National Register nominations, publications and educational programs, and preservation planning.

Recent projects include a preservation plan for the TPC, five new neighborhood booklets, National Register district nominations downtown, and nomination of the Sixth Street Historic District. This year we will also be publishing the long-awaited update of the 1997 Historic Resource Document.

If your neighborhood is interested in becoming a National Register-listed historic district or you have other suggestions for this year’s funds, please contact Amanda DeCort at adecort@cityoftulsa.org or make plans to attend our April 8th TPC meeting, 11 a.m. in the 10 North Conference room at City Hall.
